About Us

Our Story

The journey of Alia Alanka Ornamental Products began with a dream I had in Japan between 2004 and 2008, and I was inspired by their deep value for eco-friendly practices. This planted the seed of an idea to create sustainable art from nature’s resources.

Upon returning to Sri Lanka, I brought this vision to life and began creating unique designs inspired by elephant dung in 2015. By July 2016, we were officially registered as an industry, marking the beginning of something truly special.

Our work is not only distinguished by its artistry, but also by the people behind it. Many of our artisans are people with disabilities or who face economic challenges, and they transform raw materials into stunning creations that reflect the beauty of our culture and the resilience of our people.

Each product is more than an ornament. It is a story of empowerment and sustainability. The journey of these creations doesn’t end in our workshop but, after a meticulous process involving many hands, finds its way to homes and hearts across the world, showcasing the artistry and spirit of Sri Lanka.

Our goal is simple yet powerful as we strive to create economic, social, and environmental sustainability. Every piece sold supports livelihoods, strengthens communities, and promotes a greener planet, ensuring that at Elephant Lankan Ornamental Products we are not just crafting art but also opportunities and a better future for all.

Our Mission & Vision

Protecting Elephants

By using dung from local reserves, we reduce conflicts and support conservation efforts to protect these gentle giants.

Promoting Vegan Values

Our creations use only cruelty-free, plant-based materials, reflecting kindness to all living beings.

Empowering Communities

  •   We provide jobs and skills to women and differently-abled individuals.
  •   We revive old spaces, like our workshop, turning them into hubs of creativity.
  •    We inspire pride and purpose through art.

Every statue we make is more than just art—it’s a step toward a kinder, greener world.
